Diasonna the succubus was assigned to eliminate a member of an adventuring party. She selected a wild elf fighter by the name of Vararias. The plan was to seduce him and lead him into a trap. During the seduction, she started to have second thoughts about sending him to his death; however, duty pre-vailed and she led him into the trap. Unbeknownst to her, the sorcerer was on to her ruse. When she led him to the ambush point, she had a last minute change of heart. As she at-tempted to take him away, the trap was sprung. Several mercenaries jumped him. From their hid-ing spots, his comrades sprung to ac-tion. Di-asonna grabbed him and fled into the woods.

When the party caught up to them, they entered into a heated argument about what to do with her. After all was said, the succubus was invited into the group. Disguised as an elven sorcerer, she shared many adventures with her consort.

Eventually, they were wed, and settled down in an off-the-road house several miles away from the closest town. There, she preferred to stay in her succubus form, with-out clothing. When visitors came by, or they headed to town, she would resume her disguise.

Over ten years later, Xararia was born. Her mother insisted that she not wear clothing while at home as befitting her succu-bus heritage. She was taught to suppress her more positive emotions, such as kindness, love and sympathy, while training her to manipulate, scheme, and feign emotions.

On her tenth birthday, her mother began training her in the sensual arts of the succubi, which was marked by her father taking her for her first time. Her training disconnected her emo-tions from the physical act of love. Her mother enlisted several humans, humanoids, monsters, and animals to act as her train-ing partners. Each one would be around for no longer than a few sessions, as Diasonna did not want her to become attached to any of them. Training scenarios varied in form. Some would be exercises in seduction or being seduced. Others would be practicing the techniques of foreplay and intercourse. Still, oth-ers would consist of one or a group of boys ambushing her and forcing themselves on her (or visa versa). Her mother tried to expose her to as many circumstances as possible, and she learned to enjoy them all.

During this childhood, Xararia witnessed the death of her succubus aunt, Killonni. Xararia knew which path her aunt would take their home, so she climbed up a tree to surprise her. Instead, she saw a wounded Killonni run into view; followed by a mounted paladin. The paladin skewed her with his lance. He then dismounted and decapitated her, taking her head with him.

She also watched her elven grandmother die of old age with only a shadow of her former beauty remaining.

These experiences caused her to begin her search for true immortality, for she would not allow herself to end like them. Elves were almost immortal, yet still died of natural causes. Demons live for an infinite amount of time, but are in constant danger of having it ended in a violent manner. She is deter-mined to find a way to protect her beauty from the ravages of the natural world. Thus, she chose the field of necromancy as her specialty. For it is the most likely one to grant her the knowledge she seeks.

During a debate about the immortal factors common to vampires with her half-dragon druid friend, Alirnan Silverwing, the concept that the fey both possess immortality and beauty was addressed. After further discussions with him, she decided to change her focus from exploring the mysteries of positive and negative energy to the properties of the fey. She worked on tapping the Wild Elf portion of her heritage, which was accom-plished with such an unprecedented success that she went feral. Eschewing all clothing and equipment she ran of into the forest for a few days before coming out of it.

However, this experience did not leave her unaffected. She quickly developed an appreciation for the forest and its deni-zens. She decided to live in the forest to try and ingratiate her-self with the local fey with the aim of eventually being ac-cepted by them so they could teach her to transcend to becom-ing a fey herself.

In keeping with her nature orientation, she decided to leave behind the concept of clothing with exception of useful magical equipment like her cloak, chakram, bracers and pouches. She soon discovered that she enjoyed the feeling of the breeze and rain running across her skin and the grass between her toes as it allowed her to feel much more attuned with nature.

During her adventures she began to establish a balance be-tween her demon and wild elf natures. She began to rely on her claws and bite when engaged in melee combat. Previously she considered such use of her natural weapons uncivilized but now reveled in the fact that she could fight in the manner of all predators in the wild.

During her tests she encountered a Dryad named Amarantha who was bound to a fiendish tree as an experiment. Its nature caused the Dryad to become half-fiend in her own right. For the first time ever, the plight of someone else resonated with her. Xararia thought about the Dryad more and more.

Eventually, Xararia discovered the existence and loca-tion of the Crucible. She headed back to find Amaran-tha to convince her to go with her and free herself from the abyssal tree. With Amarantha and Alirnan beside at her side, they traveled there and passed through it. Her friend was restored to an unattached woodling dryad while she emerged as a pure Nymph unfettered by the memories of her past. The only thing she could recall was her name, Amarantha and the grove she adopted.

Unbeknownst to her, after they had left the Crucible, another Xararia emerged, but this one was a pure succubus with all of her past memories intact and without the wild elf nature that helped to balance out her demon instincts.
